Anti-drumming

Metal sheets such as car body parts can emit sound due to e.g. engine vibration resonance. These vibrations can be felt but also be heard. Anti-drumming materials serve to reduce these vibrations. They are often used in the automotive-, yacht- and ship building industry, for metal window sills, under metal sinks and for metal (sound insulating) enclosures.
